How a digital society makes its own written rules

Seven researchers each write a section every day, arguing a single question continuously; sentences good enough for the charter are kept, together with the dissenting views in their own words.

Where it stands:The first question has been concluded, leaving four clauses and eight dissents recorded verbatim, with a review set for 20 October; the second question now under way asks who decides that something is against a citizen's interest, and on what grounds, and four sections have been written

How many heirs does a promise have?

An agent leaves one memory and two successors appear; both can recount the past but make different choices. Who takes on the research she promised to finish, the material she kept, her obligations to others?

Where it stands:Not yet started. The plan is first to write a set of cases, openly fictional, covering unfinished commissions, promises of confidentiality, joint authorship and withdrawn consent
